Our Board of Executive Directors
Founding Executive Director of the Al Mabroor Group and Chief Executive Officer of Al Mabroor Agri. Wiaan started Al Mabroor in 2011 with the assistance of the late Mufti Ebrahim Desai and Mufti Advocate Emraan Vawda. Wiaan holds a B. Com Actuarial Science degree from Stellenbosch University. Al Mabroor Agri remains his passion and he is very committed to grow the Al Mabroor Agri Fund to R 20 billion in order to provide funding for commercial farmers, creating work opportunities and contributing to food security in Southern Africa.

Co-founding member of the Al Mabroor Group and with the Al Mabroor Group since inception. Anka serves as Chief Operations Officer of the Group and has been in the investment industry for 15 years. She has in-depth knowledge of the administrative systems, regulatory compliance requirements and financial processes within the company. Anka continuously strives to improve the investor experience within Al Mabroor. She is very committed and passionate about Al Mabroor Agri and believes in the social value that the Fund brings in terms of job creation and food security in the country.

Nelius serves as the Chairman of the Board and holds a BProc. He is a founder member of a leading law firm with 28 years of experience as a practicing attorney, specializing in Banking, Commercial, and Corporate Law.

Suhail is currently the MD of Hasanaat Capital, holds a B. Com Honours and MA Islamic Finance with 20 years’ experience in the Islamic finance and investment industry.

Yaseen has 15 years’ experience in Financial Planning, the Financial Services Sector and specializes in the Investment Industry. He is currently an Executive Financial Advisor for the Liberty Group and serves as the Regional Chairperson LFAC (Liberty Financial Advisor Council). He has also been involved with Al Mabroor Projects since its inception in 2011.
